To ensure the robustness of your A/B test results, it is advisable to set a run time of two to three weeks. This timeframe allows for comprehensive data collection and accounts for potential fluctuations in user behaviour and traffic patterns. By following this recommendation, you will increase the validity of your findings and contribute to the accuracy of your decision-making process.

The duration of an A/B test depends on several factors, and the following elements should be considered when determining the appropriate duration:

  1. Traffic Volume: Higher traffic websites generally require shorter run times due to the increased volume of data generated more quickly. Lower traffic websites may necessitate longer runtimes in order to accumulate a sufficient sample size for statistically significant results.
